- Totally eliminate escape hatches.
In every project, there’s always escape hatches, a faulty gimmick or an easy way out to close the deal or to sum up a particular process. You must totally eliminate those escapes because creativity lays in finding a way through the challenges and not in finding hidden shortcuts, sometimes in those shortcuts come shortcomings and loss of potentially great opportunities. Encourage the people that you work with to see the difficulty for what it actually is, a good chance to develop understanding, to learn and to grow.
